Proper selection of master cylinder bore sizes is the most important factor in achieving correct brake bias. A balance bar is for fine-tuning the bias in the pits or, with the addition of the adjusting cable, by the driver during competition. This high quality Tilton unit is constructed from aircraft certified 4140 steel, heat treated and magnafluxed. The clevises are 2024 T-3 aluminum. The included steel pivot sleeve (1 3/16" OD x 1" ID x 1 9/16" Long) must be brazed or welded to the brake pedal. Designed for 2 1/2 inch master cylinder spacing (note that this part number had 2 5/8" spacing prior to 2009).

Note: This balance bar has a 7/16-20 threaded bar. The 3/8-24 balance bar (Part No. 3525) has been discontinued by Tilton in favor of this stronger unit.
