To prevent spilling fluids on the track, most sanctioning bodies require engine breather vents to be routed into a catch bottle. SCCA requires a catch bottle with at least one quart capacity.
Our lightweight round one quart catch bottles are made from high temperature plastics to help minimize deformation from hot oil and coolant. (You should still take care to isolate or insulate them from heat sources above 250° F to prevent heat damage.) A large-diameter, heavy-duty screw-on lid prevents leaks. Translucent plastic makes it easy to see how much fluid has collected inside. These bottles are undrilled so you can position your vent hose anywhere you need it. Measures 3 5/8" diameter x 8" high overall.
Mounting bracket is not included. One or two worm-drive hose clamps (such as our Lined Hose Clamps (Part No. 3613-3.75 or 3613-4.00) can be used to hold the tank to a strip of metal mounted to your chassis.
