Wide Series Swaged Bearing Proof Cups Kit

This high-quality tool set is designed for proof-testing the installation of certain spherical bearings which have a groove on either face of the outer race ("Grumman groove"). Each set includes a housing support cup, a bearing arbor, and centering mandrel.

After swaging your bearing in place, assemble the tools around your bearing and use your hydraulic press to apply the design load to the bearing. If the bearing moves axially beyond design limits, you may need to increase the force applied in the swaging process.

These tools are specifically designed to fit certain SAE-sized "wide series" spherical bearings with a staking groove on either side of the outer race (Aurora AWC-xTG or PWB-xTG, Pegasus 3070-xG, NHBB ABWT-xV or ADBWxV, or any other brand meeting Mil Spec MS14103). When done properly, the installation should meet NAS 0331 Method 100 and MIL-STD-1999 requirements. Made in USA.
