This high-pressure hose has a smooth, extruded PTFE liner with a stainless steel wire braid cover. An additional black plastic outer cover* provides a clean appearance while helping to keep dust and grime out of the braid. Rated for use at -90°F to +450°F. Maximum operating pressure 3,000 psi. Minimum burst pressure 12,000 psi.

This -3 size has the same ID as standard 3/16" steel tubing. It is the most common size for auto racing brake lines and oil pressure gauge lines. It is also popular for clutch lines. (Note: Only steel, stainless steel, or high pressure brass fittings should be used with brake lines. We recommend against aluminum fittings in brake systems.)
Note: You must strip the black outer covering back prior to installing your hose ends. The hose end collar must bear against the braid, not against the black covering.
