Formerly Castrol / Girling GT-LMA -- NEW formula has a higher dry boiling point but keeps all of the LMA characteristics!
Because of its LMA (Low Moisture Activity) formula, Castrol Advanced Performance brake fluid does not have to be changed as often as most other racing brake fluids. Its dry boiling point is a little lower than our other racing brake fluids, but it is still higher than many applications require.
This is an ideal fluid for applications that do not need to be bled frequently. Recommended applications include hydraulic clutches (external slave cylinder), Formula Vee drum brakes, daily drivers, and autocross (Solo II).
Castrol Advanced Performance Specifications:
DOT Rating: 4
Dry Boiling Point: 509° F minimum (GT-LMA was 446° F)
Wet Boiling Point: 329° F minimum

* None of our brake fluids are compatible with silicone-based (DOT 5) fluids.
Castrol Advanced Performance is 100% compatible with Girling / Castrol GT-LMA. Add this fluid directly to any system with GT-LMA still in it. You do not need to drain or flush the system.
Castrol Advanced Performance is 100% compatible with all systems that use GT-LMA. Use this fluid in any system that specifies Girling DOT 4, Castrol GT-LMA, or any other DOT 4 fluid. You do not need to rebuild the system or replace seals.
Castrol GT-LMA has always been synthetic. Castrol did not actively use the word "synthetic" in their marketing of GT-LMA. With the new higher boiling point, Girling decided to emphasize the synthetic formulation.
