Camloc 40S5 Heavy Duty Stud, Cross Recess

The heavy-duty 40-Series Camloc fasteners are rated for 700 pounds working strength (1050 pounds ultimate strength). The Philips (cross) head allows quick use with a standard Phillips #2 screwdriver (no special tools needed). The 40-Series are easily identified by the 3/8" diameter head (smaller Camloc 27-Series Studs have a 1/4" diameter head). Each stud assembly includes the stud, crosspin, barrel, and spring. Sold individually.

The 40-Series studs are designed to be used with a metal grommet (Part Nos. 6081, 6082, or 6083, sold separately) to help spread the attachment forces. The large diameter grommet (Part No. 6082) is recommended for soft materials such as fiberglass.

The dash number is normally stamped on the head of the stud. The dash number corresponds to overall stud length using the following formulae:

Dash number = (Length - 0.62) / 0.03
Length = (Dash number * 0.03) + 0.62

* Studs longer than -14 require a 40 Series Split Ring Stud Retainer (Part No. 6075, sold separately) to prevent the stud falling out of the grommet. Shorter studs (below -16) can use or skip the Split Ring Retainer at the user's preference.
