The 4002 series Camlocs are designed to be used with a metal grommet to help spread the attachment forces. These special extended grommets are designed for use in thicker panels such as 1/8", 3/16", and 1/4" thick Lexan. Slots in the body of the grommet allow easier intallation of shorter length studs. Requires a grommet retaining ring, sold separately.

* Total Material Thickness is the total thickness of all panels and spacers in the assembly. These grommets will protrude from the backside of the panel. Assemblies with less than this minimum thickness will cause the grommet to jam against the receptacle before the stud is fastened.

Note: These grommets add 0.026" to the total grip length of the assembly. Be sure to add this amount to your total grip length calculation when determining the proper stud length.
