Motul 8100 X-clean+ is a 100% synthetic engine oil formulated to satisfy the latest European ACEA C3 standards. This standard was written for gasoline and diesel engines that must comply with stringent EURO IV and EURO V emissions regulations. To be suitable for both types of engines, an oil must have low sulfur and phosphorous levels to be compatible with catalytic converters and Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs). Motul 8100 X-clean+ also carries approvals from BMW (LL-04*), Mercedes-Benz (229.51), Porsche (C30), and VW (504 00 - 507 00).
* NOTE: Please refer to BMW location-specific recommendations for gasoline engines. Some countries and regions require a BMW LL-01 oil (such as Motul 8100 X-cess Synthetic Engine Oil, Part No. MT004-5W30).
