FMSI D051. Fits the Girling 14LF/1 (GD535) caliper in the following applications:
1967-70 Ford (UK) Cortina 1600 (including GT)
1972-76 Jensen Healey 2.0
1966-94 Morgan 4/4 and Plus 4 (1600 and 2.0L only)
1967-68 Sunbeam Tiger
This 14LF/1 is basically an "extended" version of the standard FMSI D044 shape for the common Girling 14LF caliper (GD533), with slightly more swept area close to the rotor hat. Overall height of backing plate is 2.5 inches (standard 14LF is 2.15" overall). The width and retaining pin position are the same.
RSH29E This compound was developed specifically for Vintage and Historic racing. The medium-to-high friction level is suitable for sprint races in GT and Touring cars, but its excellent pad and rotor life make it an ideal choice for endurance racing as well. Friction remains constant over a wide temperature range, and drivers will appreciate the low pedal effort after a long stint. Effective 200°C to 750°C (400°F to 1380°F), optimum 350°C to 650°C (660°F to 1200°F).
RSH42 This compound was developed for Vintage and Historic racing. The low-to-medium friction level works well in small formula cars or as a rear axle pad in front-wheel-drive cars (paired with RSH29E on the front). Excellent low-temperature effectiveness, with virtually no change in friction from dead cold all the way up to 350°C and a low but very wide torque peak. Effective from dead cold to 750°C (1380°F), optimum 500°C to 670°C (930°F to 1250°F) -- but the peak is very low compared to the baseline, with the entire Mu curve between about 0.40 and 0.45!
