Lucas 3 Bolt Starter - 10 Tooth Gear

Our inertia-type Lucas starters are rebuilt in England. Starters may have either a 9 or 10 tooth pinion. Because of the different tooth profiles used, either one will work properly with standard 110 tooth ring gears as used on Ford 1.6L and 2.0L engines and other common racing applications. The 3-bolt version is a somewhat stronger mount than the 2-bolt version, offering more resistance to lateral g-forces. Fits most Formula Ford, FC, FA, and S2000 applications with the Hewland Mk 4/6/8/9 gearbox and the standard 2 1/8" adapter plate. Does not fit late model Van Diemen or most other cars with LD200 gearboxes.
