Starters for FF1600 & FF2000 / S2000
The Lucas "inertia" starters are still the standard for Formula Ford 1600, but the Tilton "pre-engaged" starters offer greater torque and increased reliability.
Part Nos. 1165-002 and 1151 fit most Formula Ford and FF2000/S2000 cars originally equipped with the standard Lucas starter. They are both designed to fit the common 2 1/8" gearbox adapter plate mated to a standard Hewland or Webster Mk5 - Mk8/9 gearbox.
Note: None of our starters will fit FF1600/FF2000/S2000 chassis which have an oil tank between the engine and the gearbox.
