Tilton Super Starter Drive Pinion Assembly

These replacement drive assemblies fit Tilton Super Starters. All drives include support bearings and a 9 tooth pinion gear already installed. Two tooth pitches are available to fit nearly all flywheels:

Part No. 1157-01 (10/12 Pitch) Fits 1154-100, 102, 103, 105, 107, 108, 109, 119, 125, and 1155 (Formula Ford).

Part No. 1157-02 (12/14 Pitch) Fits 1154-101, 110, 111, 113, 114, 115, 117, 118, 120, 121, 122, 123, 126, and 127.

Note: These pinions are for standard-rotation Tilton Super Starters only. Reverse-rotation starters and XLT starters require different drive assemblies.

Not sure which you need? Here is a general rule of thumb to help you out:
Tooth Count of ring gear divided by Major OD of ring gear = Tooth Pitch

Examples:
Formula Ford with 110 tooth ring gear, 11" OD (110/11 = 10) uses a 10 Pitch pinion (1157-01)
Smallblock Chevy with 153 tooth ring gear, 12 3/4" OD (153/12.75 = 12) uses a 12 Pitch pinion (1157-02)
