These special small head bolts can be used where clearance is an issue. The 7/16-14 UNC socket head cap screws have a black oxide finish. The 3" nominal shank has a 1.5" grip length. The head is a non-standard 5/8" diameter and takes a 5/16" hex key. (The standard head is 11/16" diameter and takes a 3/8" hex key.) Sold individually.
We do not have detailed specifications on these bolts. Therefore, we cannot recommend them to be used as main bearing cap bolts for the Ford 1600 Kent engine. For that application, we offer high-strength ARP Formula Ford 1600 Main Bearing Cap Bolts (Part No. 161-06), which are legal for Formula Ford use.
