These are some of the nicest formula car mirrors we have ever seen. From the machined billet aluminum base, to the stainless hardware, to the carbon fiber housing and aerodynamic lens treatment, the quality and attention to detail are obvious.
The aerodynamic stem is an integral part of the housing for minimal drag. A recessed ball joint at the mounting flange and a left-to-right pivoting lens allow a surprisingly wide range of adjustment. Both joints have set screws which must be tightened after the mirror is adjusted. The special transparent cover over the mirror glass has been wind tunnel tested to help reattach airflow (reducing drag) at high speeds.
The low-profile elliptical wide-angle convex lens (approximately 1 3/4" high x 4 7/16" wide) makes it easier to spot cars that are not directly behind you. Each mirror mounts with two 10-32 flat head screws (furnished). The base is anodized black aluminum. The housing is genuine carbon fiber, not plastic with a pattern printed on. Sold in pairs (one left and one right).
