Beta Tools 1295/C14 Impact Screwdriver with 14 Inserts
This handy driver from Beta Tools is perfect for breaking loose stubborn fasteners in situations where an air gun would be overkill, or when air isn't an option. Simply apply the driver to your fastener, twist it in the loosening direction by hand, and strike the driver with a hammer. The internal wedge applies a single torque strike with each blow. The result is much greater control than with an impact gun, so you are much less likely to strip fasteners. The 1/2" square drive can be used with any impact socket or accessory. Driver measures 5 3/16" (130mm) long.
This kit includes the hand impact driver, a 5/16" hex socket, and 14 matching 5/16" hex drive impact bits: two flat blade, two Philips, two Philips "Z", 5mm hex, 6mm hex, and T27 through T55 Torx. A 6 3/4" x 4" x 1 3/8" Beta orange metal organizer box keeps everything together and easily portable.
This kit is indispensable when replacing brake rotors that are held to the hub by one or two large screws. A single blow from this driver is usually enough to break these screws loose without damage.
Note: Never use sockets or accessories designed for hand drivers with an impact driver! The sudden torque delivered by an impact driver can shatter hand sockets and send sharp metal pieces flying, leading to injuries. Always wear eye protection when using impact tools.
