Why carry around a cooler full of heavy ice? You're racing, not going to a clambake! The advanced Quantum Pro Cooler from ChillOut Systems circulates a water solution chilled to as much as 70°F below ambient temperature to keep you cool during the most grueling races.
The Quantum Cooler uses modern technology to actively cool the water, rather than simply chilling it with ice. This means that the Quantum system will still be cooling hours after an ice system has had to stop for fresh ice. Simply connect to a 12 volt power source, connect the hoses and shirt (sold separately), and select any of 5 target temperatures, from 40°F to 70°F*. The system will automatically adjust the cooling operation and the fluid circulation to maintain the set cooling level.
* Limited by ambient temperature. At 110°F the system is capable of cooling down to 40 F. Higher ambient temperatures will result in higher cooling temperatures. Note that most drivers report that a target temp of 55°F is ideal, which is achievable in 125°F ambient temps!
The compact Pro cooling unit features a larger compressor, larger evaporator, and larger reservoir than the popular Quantum V3 cooler. An internal battery even lets you continue cooling outside the car! Measures just 12 3/4" (313mm) Long x 6" (152mm) Wide x 7" (177mm) High (8 5/8" / 220mm high including the removable handle) and weighs less than 11 pounds (4.75kg). Maximum current draw (12v) 28 Amps at start-up or at maximum cooling; average draw 15A. The 60 dB noise level is about as loud as normal conversation. Includes priming tube, wiring harness, and carbon-fiber mounting tray with quick-release pins.
