High-performance ARP Head Studs are rated to 200,000 psi for exceptional strength in the most demanding applications. Head studs offer more predictable fastener torque and more even gasket clamping force than bolts, which is why serious engine builders never use cylinder bolts if the installation will allow it.
This kit includes a full engine set of 20 studs (10 long and 10 short); flanged nuts with 12-point heads (1/2" wrenching); hardened, parallel-ground washers; and a packet of ARP assembly lubricant. Fits Ford small-block V8 engines (289, 302, and 5.0L) with factory heads or AFR 185 heads with 7/16" holes.
Will not fit Windsor, SVO, GT-40, or aftermarket heads (except AFR with 7/16" holes). Not for Boss 302.
