High-performance ARP Pro Strength Rod Bolts are constructed of proprietary ARP2000 alloy steel, heat-treated to 220,000 psi tensile strength for reliability that exceeds even 8740 chrome moly rod bolts.

These "general replacement" cap screw-type bolts are designed for steel connecting rods. The 1.600 inch long under-head length includes 0.600" thread length (3/8-24 threads) and 0.145" grip (3/8" OD unthreaded) length. The remainder of the shank between the threads and the grip is undercut for optimum clamping force. The head takes a 7/16" 12-point wrench, but has a full 0.555" diameter bearing surface. The head measures 0.388" tall. Sold in a set of 2 (enough for one rod) with matching washers and a 0.5 oz packet of ARP assembly lube.
