ARP Speed Studs&tm; are extreme-quality wheel studs designed for pro racing, where even a small problem with a single lug nut during a pit stop can cost you the race.

The chrome moly steel studs are constructed of chrome moly steel, heat-treated to a 190,000 psi tensile strength rating and shot-peened to relieve manufacturing stresses. Then they get J-form threads rolled (not cut) after heat-treating (not before) for maximum fatigue strength, and then Magnafluxed TWICE to assure absolute reliability. The bullet-shaped end helps to guide the wheel into position, and the nut-starter nose shape minimizes the chances of cross-threading a nut. A baked-on dry film lubricant prevents galling while also helping to ensure more consistent clamping loads. The head is designed to fit the registers of all popular hub brands without modification.

These studs have 5/8-11 UNC (coarse) threads and a 0.685" knurl diameter to fit IMCA Wide-5 hubs. The 2.650" underhead length includes a 0.500" knurl length. The threads end 1.900" from the head. Pack of 5 studs is enough for one wheel.
