This high-strength stud from ARP is made from 8740 chrome moly steel, heat-treated to 200,000 psi tensile strength. The threads are rolled (not cut) after heat treatment (not before) for exceptional strength and durability. Black oxide finish.
The stud measures 2 1/4" long overall, with 5/16-24 UNF threads on both ends (3/8" long on one end and 1" long on the other). The long end is broached with a 1/8" hex recess for easy installation. This size can be used for anything from mounting accessories to rocker shaft supports.
