Tilton OT-2 Rally Clutch, Buff Spring, High Ratio (No Disc)

The Tilton OT-II Single-Disc Rally Clutch is a very high-quality, open-style 7 1/4" diameter clutch. The aluminum cover is much lighter and stiffer than the stamped steel cover used on competing racing clutches. The rally style is designed to allow more modulation than in the standard (metallic) OT-II racing clutch. This makes it an excellent choice for standing starts.

The lightweight Buff spring / High Ratio pressure plate combination provides moderate clamping force without excessive pedal force. This clutch is rated for cars producing up to 240 lb-ft of torque, ideal for Formula Ford 1600. This assembly includes the cover and pressure plate. Cerametallic clutch discs and bolts are sold separately.

Racing clutches require high pedal force to actuate. With a standard 44mm release bearing, this clutch requires 480 pounds of hydraulic pressure to release. Cable operated release mechanisms may not work. This clutch is appropriate for use with an external slave cylinder or with a Tilton Hydraulic Release Bearing with a 44mm contact diameter bearing.

Requires specially modified flywheel such as our JAE Flywheel for Formula Ford 1600 (Part No. 163-01-JAE).
