This mounting kit from Schroth can solve a lot of headaches when installing modern FIA racing harnesses in an older racecar. The current trend in FIA-approved sedan harnesses is to use snap-in end plates for mounting, but production cars are generally designed for bolt-in mounting. In many cases, installing an eyebolt is just not an option.
The B23A kit consists of two special tabs (4000 pound pulling capacity) which are designed to be bolted to the chassis like a bolt-in harness. The other end of the tab has a larger, reinforced hole to accept a snap-in mounting plate. The tabs can be twisted if needed for clearance. Each tab measures 85mm Long x 34mm Wide, with one 12.5mm bolt hole and one 18mm hole for your snap-in plate. Complete kit includes two tabs, two 7/16-20 SAE UNF bolts, two 7/16" ID spring washers, and two 7/16" ID dished washers. Each kit mounts both sides of one lap belt.
Note: These heavy-duty mounts are designed for racing, but they are not included in the harness homologation. Check with your local tech inspectors to be sure they will allow this type of adapter.
