Weber Tuning Manual

Looking up a jetting list is quick, but it doesn't help you if your engine wants something a little bit different. To really understand how to set up your Weber carburetors, you need to learn how each component works. And what better way to learn than directly from the source!

This is a factory-authorized reprint of the original Weber factory tuning manual (first printed around the 1960s or 70s). Although it is a bit thin on the how-to of tuning and jetting (it does not contain any jetting charts), it is an excellent reference that explains the why-to, so you will know what to do if your carbs aren't working right.

The manual begins with the fundamentals of carburetor operating principles before explaining how Weber carburetors go about supplying the correct air-fuel mixture under a variety of conditions. Particular attention is paid to the sidedraft DCOE series, with important differences to other models highlighted. A table of calibrated parts (with part numbers) gives an idea what jet sizes may be available. Several pages are devoted to illustrations and dimensions identifying all of the Weber emulsion tubes, including those no longer in production.
