These springs are a critical part of the system to keep your Hewland or Webster Mk-series gearbox in gear, but excess heat can destroy their springing ability and make the detents ineffective. If your gearbox pops out of gear when you let off the throttle, try installing new detent springs. Each gearbox uses 6 springs. Replaces Hewland part number FT2022. Sold individually.
