This 2nd/3rd hub (1st/2nd in 4-speed gearboxes) is installed on the pinion shaft of Hewland or Webster Mk8 or Mk9 gearboxes. Replaces Hewland part number HC8227. The very coarse inner splines (6 spline count) distinguish this hub from the 2nd/3rd Hub for Mk 4, 6 and Webster Gearboxes (part #1410-A48-4), which has much finer inner splines.
