This rear axle speed sensor is designed for karting and Junior Dragster applications. It is designed to be triggered by a magnetic collar (sold separately) on the rear axle or jackshaft. The pigtail lead has a 4-pin "712" (screw-in) connector.
Karting applications also require the Magnetic Axle Collar (Part No. MC-175, sold separately) to trigger the sensor.
Junior Drag applications require the Magnetic Jackshaft Collar (Part No. MC-147, sold separately) to trigger the sensor.
Works with the following dashes:
MyChron3 Plus, Gold, Extreme, and GPS Dash; MyChron4, and MyChron5 karting dashes
MyChron3 660 and MyChron4 660 Junior Dragster dashes
The front of the sensor has threads for easy mounting in a bracket you supply. No bracket is supplied due to the variety of installations. A simple sheet metal bracket is all that is required. The sensor should be positioned 8mm to 15mm (5/16" to 9/16") from the collar; the optimum distance being 10mm (3/8"). Cable measures 67" long.
