This displacement potentiometer can measure up to 10mm (3/8") of linear travel, which makes it ideal for measuring brake pedal movement. We recommend mounting the sensor in front of the brake pedal (between the driver and the pedal) so it is depressed when the brakes are off. This will reduce the likelihood of sensor damage or interference with pedal travel.
This sensor has the 719 (four-pin plastic push-on type) connector. Use a My Chron 719-719 Patch Cable (Part No. MC-211) to connect to an AiM MXL Pista, MXL Pro, or MyChron3 Auto dash (except XG-Log). The XG-Log, EVO3, and EVO4 require a 712-719 Patch Cable (Part No. MC-210) for connection.
