Thermo Tec High-Temp Heat Barrier Cloth, 26" x 40" Mat

This super-strong heat barrier cloth is constructed of an aluminized woven aramid cloth to withstand direct contact with temperatures up to 1100° F or radiant heat up to 3000° F. It is suitable for use directly on exhaust systems, or as a heat shield applied to the part to be protected. This shield does not have an adhesive backing, so it should be installed with rivets and backup washers, high-temperature adhesive, or with band clamps when wrapped around objects.

When used as a heat barrier (installed on the part to be protected), the shiny metalized layer should face the heat source for maximum protection against radiant heat. When used as an exhaust wrap, the metalized layer should face outwards for protection against liquid spills.
