These economical pin and block universal joints are similar in quality to the original joints used by many race car manufacturers. They are quite strong and will last a long time if they are kept clean and lubricated. Adding some kind of a dust boot (not included) is strongly recommended to exclude grit. These joints are available in step sizes whch often simplifies installation.

All of these steel joints have a 1 inch outside diameter for strength. If this causes clearance issues in your application, you can file or grind down the outside for clearance. Be careful not to take off too much material! Making the sleeve too thin will weaken the joint.
