Hawk Brake Pad, 2012-20 BMW 2/3/4 Series rear (D1656)

FMSI D1656 pad shape, 16mm (0.624") thickness. This pad was used extensively on the rear of BMW 2-Series, 3-Series, and 4-Series cars from 2012 through 2020, including the rear of 2016-18 M2, 2015-18 M3, and 2015-20 M4. Note that Hawk brake pads are designed for use with ferrous (iron/steel) rotors only (not for use with carbon/ceramic/composite brakes).

Brake pads are sold in axle sets. One box includes enough brake pads for both rear calipers.

HPX (C): Designed as an autocross (Solo II) compound, with a very low temperature range and excellent modulation. Lower friction than HP Plus to avoid locking up with street tires. Very low rotor wear. Expect an increase in dust and noise over stock pads. 100-700°F; 100-600°F optimal.
