This direct-acting throwout bearing eliminates all lost motion due to cable stretch or linkage flex. The adjustable-height base is designed to fit over the OEM 2-bolt bearing retainer on the Ford or GM versions of the Tremec T56 Magnum transmissions.
The radius-faced bearing has a 44mm contact diameter for clutches with a 1 5/8" diameter diaphragm spring hole. This includes all Quarter Master racing clutches (except 7.25" LGC) and Tilton OT-II (7.25") Racing Clutches.
The assembled height is adjustable from 2.54" to 3.51" (not including the height of your input shaft bearing retainer) to suit virtually any clutch brand. A special anti-rotation bolt (supplied) replaces one of the stock bearing retainer bolts to lock down the height adjustment. Maximum travel is 0.60 inches, so a clutch pedal stop must be used to prevent damage to the clutch and the engine. Tilton recommends pairing this assembly with a 7/8" bore master cylinder (sold separately). AN4 pressure and bleed hoses are supplied.
