Most fuel pump manufacturers recommend a fuel filter on the inlet side of the pump to protect against trash and contaminants that could damage the pump. This 74 micron in-line filter is ideal for use on smaller electrical pumps or mechanical pumps. The transparent housing lets you monitor the condition of the non-replaceable polyester filter element inside.
Both the inlet and the outlet of the housing have push-on barbed fitting to accept 1/4" ID rubber fuel hose. The clear polymer housing allows easy inspection of the filter. Housing measures 2.1" OD x 2.1" long.
Compatible with gasoline, ethanol blends to E85, and diesel fuel (including biodiesel), and fuel additives. This filter is not designed to be disassembled.
Note: Not recommended for use in fuel injection systems or with high-volume pumps delivering more than about 50 GPH.
