Modern pump gas is terribly corrosive to conventional rubber hose, especially in recirculating EFI systems. The light aromatic compounds also seep through conventional rubber (vapor permeation), leading to an unmistakable fuel smell in your garage. Gates Barricade hose solves both problems, without resorting to extensive modifications to your fuel system connections!
Gates Barricade hose looks like conventional rubber hose on the outside, but a thin layer of a special vapor-proof material is bonded to the inside to resist vapor permeation and corrosive fuels like ethanol, oxygenated/oxidized gasoline, and diesel. The 225 psi working pressure rating is suitable for all fuel systems including carburetors and EFI. Temperature range -40° F to 275° F (-40° C to 135° C) continuous. Meets SAE 30R14T2 specificartions. Sold by the running foot.
