Brand: AIM Sports

This 0-5 Bar (0-72 psi) sensor is suitable for measuring coolant pressure, fuel pressure, or oil pressure.*

KA pressure sensors are more robust than the old VDO-style pressure sensors, but all sensors should still be isolated from engine heat and vibration whenever possible. It is compatible with all AiM MX-Series dashes, EVO3/EVO4/EVO5 loggers, CAN Channel Expansion Hub, and the MyChron Expansion. 1/8 NPT male threads. Body design may vary from photo. Sold individually.

This sensor has a 50cm (19.68") long cable with a 719 (four-pin plastic push-on type) connector permanently attached. Use a My Chron 719-719 Patch Cable (Part No. MC-211) to connect to any AiM MX-Series dash or EVO3/EVO5 logger. EVO4/EVO4S, CAN Channel Expansion Hub, and MyChron Expansion require a 712-719 Patch Cable (Part No. MC-210, sold separately).

* Note that most healthy 4-stroke engines will exceed 5 bar pressure at some point and therefore should not use this sensor. We recommend the solid-state AiM KA 150psi Pressure Sensor (Part No. MC-347) for engine oil pressure.

Sensor Setup: This sensor is listed as "AiM 0-5 Bar (X05PSA00005Bxx)" in Race Studio 3 (select "Pressure" --> "Oil Pressure" or "Pressure (generic pressure)" to find it). It is not listed in Race Studio 2, but you can either configure it as a custom sensor or download the ready-to-install Sensor Configuration File from the AiM website. More information is available on our instructional page about Configuring the AiM 0-5 Bar Pressure Sensor in Race Studio 2.

Note: This sensor requires a "+Vb" (battery voltage) power supply, not the traditional "Vref" (5V reference signal) used by older sensors. Current MX-Series dashes, EVO4 and later loggers, MyChron Expansion, and CAN Channel Expansion Hubs have the +Vb supply available on all analog channels. MyChron3 and older dashes do not have the necessary +Vb supply on any channel. MXL Pista and EVO3 Pista only have +Vb on Channels 4 through 8. MXL Pro and EVO3 Pro only have +Vb on Channels 8 through 11.
