These forged pistons are legal for SCCA Formula Ford effective 01/01/05 per FCS 9.1.1.B.12.e.2. They are designed to be an exact replacement for the stock Ford pistons. Forged pistons are more stable than standard cast pistons, which allows them to resist skirt collapse better than cast pistons.
These pistons fit the standard 3.188" (81mm) bore Kent "Uprated" engine only and are shaped to keep the mandated 9.3:1 compression ratio. Set of four pistons. Includes Wire-loc wrist pin retainers and special wrist pins (chamfered to work with the Wire-loc retainers).
These pistons are designed to use the standard Formula Ford 1600 Piston Rings, Part No. 161-20-STD (sold separately).
Beware of non-compliant pistons! Very similar pistons are currently on the market elsewhere, but only these genuine Ivey pistons are legal in SCCA.
