Brand: Facet-Purolator
This kit includes a replacement end cap gasket and a very fine internal filter for Facet Cylindrical ("Interrupter") Fuel Pumps. The polyester mesh is compatible with gasoline, alcohol blends including E85, and diesel fuel.
The filter should be installed with the narrow opening facing towards the center of the pump. The wide opening should point towards the pump end cap.
The 74 micron filter catches smaller particles than the less common 400 Micron Cylindrical Pump Filter (Part No. FAC-479808), but it does not flow quite as freely.* The filter should be installed with the narrow opening facing towards the center of the pump. * Most Facet Cylindrical pumps were originally supplied with this finer 74 micron filter. Facet pump numbers 40053, 40133, 40159, 40220, and 480534 (Pegasus Part No. 1106) did not originally use this filter.
