This charger from DMS / Varley can be used on any 12 volt lead-acid battery (including all of our Varley and sealed GMT racing batteries). The wide 100-240V AC input voltage allows its use virtually anywhere in the world (US and EU power cords are supplied).* The 8 amp charging capability can recharge a Varley Red Top 15 battery from 0 (fully discharged) to 95% capacity in less than 2 hours, allowing quick charging between sessions so you can always go out with a fresh battery.

The charger goes through three distinct stages:
- Constant Current returns the bulk of the power to the battery with a high-current, increasing voltage charge (approximately 80 minutes).
- Constant Voltage allows each of the battery's cells to balance out by gradually reducing the current (approximately 40 minutes).
- Trickle Charge supplies a small maintenance current which can be left on indefinitely without risk of damage.
Rugged aluminum case (7 3/8" x 3 1/2" x 2") has 3-color LED status indication (Red "Power On", Yellow "Charging", and Green "Full / Trickle Charge") and alligator clips for attachment to battery.
* IEC 3-pin power cord socket on the charger (the same as on your desktop computer or monitor) allows easy conversion to other countries' electrical systems. Simply purchase a common computer power cord from a local electronics store. If you have ever replaced an old computer, you probably have an extra cord sitting around!
