If your vehicle does not have an easy way to connect to a low-voltage RPM signal, just clamp this inductive lead to your spark plug wire and connect the wires to your AiM dash wiring harness. The pickup will translate the pulses into a square wave signal which the AiM dash can read.
Perfect for vehicles running a magneto-type ignition system. This is also useful on vehicles with an unusual number of cylinders (3, 5, 10, etc), which the AiM "Multiply Factor" can't decode. For use with AiM automotive dashes and loggers only.
This harness is not used with karting dashes. MyChron3, MyChron4, and MyChron5 kart dashes use the MyChron Inductive RPM Sensor (Part No. MC-004), which loops through a special holder on the side or back of the MyChron karting dash.
