The first Redhead fuel valve was originally designed over 30 years ago to refuel Indy cars quickly and safely, without spillage. Today Redhead valves are found on professional racecars from NASCAR to LeMans (and, of course, Indy).
The Redhead Push-Pull series are simple to use. Just Push the male probe into the female receptacle, and both valves open. Pull them apart, and they close securely. No fumbling with triggers or levers.
This female receptacle valve mounts on your vehicle, usually taking the place of a fender-mounted filler. The rigid polymer body can be clamped into 2.5 inch rubber tubing or over 2.25 inch aluminum tubing. The round aluminum mounting flange has a 5.75 inch OD and 4.5 inch ID. Flows approximately 2 gallons per second when connected to the Male Redhead Push-Pull Refueling Probe Valve (Part No. 2531, sold separately).
NOTE: This is the genuine Redhead brand "Push-Pull" series refueling valve. This design is not interchangeable with some of the other types on the market. Do not attempt to mate a different brand or series probe to this Push-Pull receptacle.
