Brand: Red Line Synthetic Oil

Now the benefits of the paste-type Red Line Assembly Lube (Part No. 3349) -- the same used by top engine builders in Formula 1, NASCAR, NHRA, and WRC -- is available in liquid form!

Apply Red Line Assembly Lube to all potential wear surfaces (bearings, bushings, etc) during engine building to prevent metal-to-metal contact during initial startup. It clings to surfaces to provide three times greater film strength than conventional black Molybdenum Disulfide greases, but it will not clog your oil filter. It is safe to use with all metals and is compatible with all petroleum and synthetic oils. It also makes an excellent rust inhibitor, allowing the storage of parts for years.

Comments about Red Line Liquid Assembly Lube:

I've been using the liquid lube for 4 years on Subaru engine and transmission builds. I keep buying it because it has proven itself on some very high pressure applications and tight tolerances.

One of my main uses is short-block assembly. As a liquid, it has the ability to be forced into the ring groves, completely floating the entire assembly with no metal contact and great film strength.

The shelf life of the film has been great as well. I am running a 12.5:1 boxer after it had been in storage for the past 3 years. There has been no oil burn or sign of any bearing wear. As a matter of fact, it is maintaining a perfect piston seal with no blow-by.

I had been concerned that paste lube would temporarily clog the tiny Subaru oil galleys, but have no fears of that happening with the liquid lube. It mixes immediately with break-in oil to let it pass and build pressure within the system instantly. I was a bit concerned that it would foul the plugs when I coat the entire cylinder, but haven't seen a sign of any deposits.

Great product!!
