Nut plates are an excellent way to install a captive nut behind a panel. The 1/4-28 UNF floating nut in this plate allows for some misalignment in assembly. This plate is similar in design to the mil-spec MS20159-4 Floating Nut Plates, but ARP takes the design one step further by making the nut replaceable! A spring clip holds the self-locking nut in the plate, making it easy to install a Replacement 1/4-28 Nut (Part No. ARP200-9117, sold separately) when the nut wears out.
The base plate, nut, and clip are all plated mild steel. Kit includes one plate with a nut installed. Replacement nuts are available separately.
Note: Although similar in concept, these nut plates are not interchangeable with the MS21059 version. They do not conform to military specifications and they do not come with any certifications.
