This direct-acting throwout bearing eliminates all lost motion due to cable stretch or linkage flex. The compact size (just 2.87" - 2.92" high, 3" 3-bolt circle) makes it small enough to be adapted to almost any transmission including larger Hewland and Weismann units. Most applications will require fabrication of an adapter plate.
The radius-faced bearing has a 38mm contact diameter for clutches with 1 3/8" diaphragm spring hole, including Tilton OT-V (4.5") clutches, Tilton OT-III (5.5") Clutches, and certain AP 5.5" carbon clutches (CP6913, CP6914, and CP7543 only).
This version is designed for an overall height of 2.92" (79.2mm), but removing a shim under the bearing will reduce the height to 2.87" (78mm). Maximum travel is 0.70 inches, so a clutch pedal stop must be used to prevent damage to the clutch and the engine. Tilton recommends pairing this assembly with a 5/8" bore master cylinder (sold separately). This HRB replaces the old Tilton number TE 62-323, which was specially modified for the Swift .008 FA.
