This direct-acting throwout bearing eliminates all lost motion due to cable stretch or linkage flex. The adjustable-height base is designed to fit over the OEM bearing retainer on the Ford version of Tremec T5 or T56 Magnum transmissions.
The flat-faced bearing has a wide 1.71" to 2.83" diameter contact surface for most 8 1/2" to 10 1/2" stock and high-performance street clutches. The assembled height is adjustable from 1 3/4" to 3" to suit virtually any clutch brand. A special anti-rotation bolt (supplied) replaces one of the stock bearing retainer bolts to lock down the height adjustment. Maximum travel is 0.70 inches, so a clutch pedal stop must be used to prevent damage to the clutch and the engine. Tilton recommends pairing this assembly with a 7/8" bore master cylinder (sold separately). AN4 pressure and bleed hoses are supplied.
