Why carry around a cooler full of heavy ice? You're racing, not going to a clambake! The advanced Genesis system from ChillOut Systems circulates a water solution chilled to as much as 70°F below ambient temperature to keep you cool during the most grueling races.
The Genesis Cooler uses modern technology to actively cool the water, rather than simply chilling it with ice. This means that the Genesis system will still be cooling hours after an ice system has had to stop for fresh ice. Simply connect to a 12 volt or 24 volt power source, connect the hoses and shirt (sold separately), and select your target temperature, from 35°F to 80°F* in 5 degree increments. The system will automatically adjust the cooling operation and the fluid circulation to maintain the set cooling level.
* Limited by ambient temperature. At 110°F the system is capable of cooling down to 40 F. Higher ambient temperatures will result in higher cooling temperatures. Note that most drivers report that a target temp of 55°F is ideal, which is achievable in 125°F ambient temps!
This kit includes the Genesis cooler with a 3" ID inlet plenum for cooling air, a carbon fiber base plate with quick-release pins, a 3" inlet blower, a wired multifunction remote with color display, and a 12V to 24V voltage converter. The integrated inlet plenum lets you run a 3" duct (not included) to bring fresh air to the cooler for increased efficiency. Requires 3" cooling air inlet ducting (sold separately) and a 12 VDC power supply with minimum 25A constant output.
The Genesis cooling unit measures just 11" (279mm) Long x 6.3" (161mm) Wide x 8.4" (214mm) High including the air inlet plenum and weighs less than 7 1/2 pounds (3.36kg). Maximum current draw (12v) 25 Amps with the inlet blower running at full speed.
Requires Hose Set and Shirt, both sold separately. Because of the wide variety of shirts and hose sets, all system components are sold separately.
