Pipercross air filters have been used in every form of motorsport from Formula Ford to Formula 1. The 3-layer foam construction traps and holds more dust than other filter media, allowing for longer life and less frequent cleaning.
This 7.5" L x 6.5" W x 4.5" H (190mm x 165mm x 114mm) dome-shaped filter is suited to applications up to about 115 horsepower. The inner wire mesh support cage can be deformed if needed to fit within tight bodywork. The included Weber DGV baseplate measures 7.5" x 7.5" including hold-down tabs. The long axis of the filter will be parallel to the throttle shaft (parallel to the valve cover on the FF1600 Uprated engine). Cars with over-the-top exhaust systems (Swift DB1) may have clearance problems with this filter. Fits Weber 32/36 DGV (including 5A), DGAV, and DGEV as well as 38/38 DGAS and DGES carburetors. May not fit clones, copies, knock-offs, or "work-alike" carburetors not made by Weber. Does not fit Weber DF-series.
This set includes both the Pipercross 7.5 x 6.5 x 4.5 Foam Air Filter Element (Part No. 1265-002) and the Pipercross Aluminum Base Plate for Weber 32/36 DGV Carburetor (Part No. 1265-003).
