Hawk Brake Pad, FF, F2000, Lockheed LD20 (CP2399) (D5)
Fits Lockheed LD20 calipers as commonly used on Formula Ford, Formula Continental, and FF2000 (AP CP2485 and CP2577). All ICP-20 lightweight brake calipers use this pad size. Also fits Brembo 20.3655.0 and AP CP2561 (1977-85 Formula 1) calipers, though it is slightly thinner than the 16.8mm thick CP2554 pad. AP pad shape CP2399. FMSI D005.
Ferro-Carbon is a unique, high-tech family of friction materials developed and manufactured by Hawk Brake for the racing community. Hawk Pads do not require an extensive "bedding-in" procedure. Keep in mind however, that all disc brake pads require a short period of bedding-in before being used to the maximum of their potential.
HT10 Compound (S): Very high torque with a smooth initial bite. Good rotor and pad life. Excellent modulation with good release characteristics. Recommended in NASCAR, Trans-Am, and all forms of road racing with high grip levels.
Blue Compound (E): Medium/High torque brake compound. A reliable performer with a wide temperature range. Low pad and rotor wear rate with good brake modulation characteristics. #1 selling pad material for SCCA racing. Recommended for Road Racing and Rally applications where low to mid temperature effectiveness is critical. Also known as "Blue 9012". Recommended for Formula Ford.
Black Compound (M): Medium torque compound for grass roots racing. This material was designed to be a good, all purpose low cost racing pad. Recommended for Dirt Circle Track, Dune Buggy and light duty Road Racing applications. Recommended for Club Formula Ford.
HP Plus Compound (N): This unique compound can take the heat at the track and get you home safely. Designed for the serious street and Autocross racer. Due to the dramatic friction level produced by this compound, rotor wear, noise, dust and pad life may be affected when used for city driving. Ideal for Solo II.
