Problem: The SmartyCam-specific GPS08B module is no longer available from AiM. So how can you get GPS on your stand-alone SmartyCam (up to Rev 2.1)?
Solution: This special SmartyCam/GPS Data Hub! Simply plug a standard GPS08 or GPS09 module (sold separately) into either of the 5-pin CAN ports on the hub, then plug a 5-pin male-male cable (sold separately) into the EXP port on your SmartyCam HD or SmartyCam HD GP. An external power cable lets you connect to a 9-15v power source to power them both.
Note 1: For standalone (not slave) use only. If you are connecting your SmartyCam to an AiM dash, logger, or SoloDL lap timer, then the GPS from the AiM master unit will be read by the SmartyCam.
Note 2: For use with SmartyCam HD and SmartyCam HD GP up to Revision 2.1 only. This hub is not compatible with any AiM dash or logger, the original SmartyCam (silver and rubber with the viewscreen on the top), SmartyCam HD GP 2.2, or SmartyCam3 (2.2 and SMC3 accept the GPS09 module directly).
Note 3: Accepts GPS08 or GPS09 modules only. Not for use with GPS08B / GPS09B, or for connecting any other CAN device.
