Brand: Red Line Synthetic Oil

Red Line Non-Slip Synthetic Gear Oil is very similar to standard Red Line Synthetic Gear Oil, but with a special formulation to help ensure more effective lock-up of clutch-type limited slip differentials. This can be used to revive worn clutch packs, or even to speed shifting in transmissions with worn synchros. Exceeds GL-5 protection ratings* and satisfies GL-5, GL-6, MIL-L-2105E, and SAE J2360 specifications.

* Note that conventional oils providing GL-5 protection for hypoid differentials can be corrosive to synchros. Red Line synthetic gear oils are non-corrosive to 300° F and are suitable for use in manual transmissions.

75W140NS - Ideal for heavily-loaded racing clutch-type limited slip differentials (LSD). Also popular for vintage manual transmissions (mid-1930s to early 50s), and shown to reduce noise and rough shifting in late-60s Mopar A-833 4-speed transmissions. Can be mixed with 75W90NS to customize a lower viscosity.

75W90NS - For racing LSDs, manual transmissions, and transaxles. Popular in Ferrari, Porsche, and Subaru transaxles. Recommended for Ford Toploader, T-10, Super T-10, and Muncie transmissions.

Note: Due to its lock-up characteristics, Non-Slip oil may cause increased noise and chatter in street-driven limited-slip differentials. The lock-up can be tuned by adding a small amount of Red Line Friction Modifier (Part No. 1687-4oz) or by mixing with standard Red Line Synthetic Gear Oil (Part No. 1693).

I bought my first car in 1969, a new Jaguar E-Type which I have kept in a restored condiion for the past 45 years, now with over 180,000 miles. I recently tried to buy lube for my transmission and rear differential and found that my earlier sources no longer made compatible products.
After doing some internet research I learned about Red Line Synthetic GL-5 Gear Oil, which meets the needs of my limited slip differential, and 75W90 Non-Slip, which won't harm my transmissions brass syncronizers.
Prior to changing the lubes I was having occasional trouble making smooth up and down shifts and attributed it to my loss of shifting skill over the years but after installing the 75W90 product it all came back, not so much my skill, but the transmission shifting is once again as smooth as it has ever been. During a recent aggressive acceleration I also determined that my limited slip is also doing what is supposed to with the GL-5 product.
I used to worry about finding compatible products that meet the needs of my 45 year old car's technology, but not after finding Red Line.
