If your clutch engages too hard on upshifts or downshifts, it can break traction on the drive wheels or even break axle shafts! The Flow Control Valve from Tilton reduces the shock loads on the drivetrain by slowing the release on your hydraulic clutch.
The valve installs in a 3AN clutch line (between the master cylinder and the slave cylinder). Fluid flows freely in one direction, allowing quick disengagement. When the pedal is released, the valve slows the flow, automatically slipping the clutch just enough to reduce the strain caused by a too-quick clutch engagement.
Flow rate is adjustable by selecting one of three pistons included in the kit. Slow pedal movements (deliberately slipping or modulating the clutch in the paddock, for example) are not affected.
