Tilton 800- and 8000-Series Hydraulic Release Bearings

2-Bolt mount, lowest profile design for use with adapter

The 8000 Series is Tilton's lowest-profile hydraulic release bearing. The 2-bolt mount is ideal for use with an adapter (not included). Interchangeable bearings and pistons allow the use of the 8000 series with virtually any racing clutch.

Always use a clutch pedal stop with an HRB! Overtravel of the pedal causes a huge spike in line pressure. This can be strong enough to destroy clutch fingers. Even worse, it can push the crankshaft forward and grind up the thrust bearings. This can quickly lead to a loss of oil pressure and a loss of an engine.

Bearing sizes:
38mm is for Tilton OT-III (5.5") and OT-IV (4.5") racing clutches, as well as some AP carbon-carbon clutches.
44mm is for Tilton OT-II (7.25") and most Quartermaster 4.5", 5.5", and 7.25" racing clutches.
52mm is for Tilton 8.5" and most AP 4.5", 5.5", and 7.25" racing clutches.

Using a larger-diameter bearing than recommended will increase pedal effort.
